Writing descriptions that sell

A buyer cannot touch your work online. Your words have to answer their questions and share your story.

  1. Start with what it is and who it is for: 'A hand-braided jute tote, a lasting gift for your mother.'
  2. Give the facts: size, material, colours, and how to care for it.
  3. Add one line of story: who makes it, where, and how long it takes.
  4. Say clearly what can be personalised and how many days it takes to make and send.
  5. Use short sentences. Write in Hindi, English or both — whatever your buyers speak.
